Effective date: June 23, 2026

This policy explains billing for Nihongo by Estate One Company Limited. It is part of the Terms of Service.

1Plans

  • Free — core learning features at no cost, with limits on certain AI extras.
  • Pro / Ultra (paid) — expanded and unlimited features as described at purchase.

The features and any usage limits for each tier are shown in the app at the time of purchase.

2Billing & auto-renewal

  • Paid subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or our payment processor, under their terms. We never receive your full card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price, charged to your store account, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
  • If we change prices, we will provide notice as required; changes take effect on the next renewal.

3How to cancel

You can cancel anytime; you keep paid access until the end of the current period.

  • Apple (iOS): Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Nihongo → Cancel.
  • Google (Android): Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Nihongo → Cancel.
  • Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.

4Refunds

Refunds are handled by the store you purchased from and are subject to their policies:

  • Apple: request at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Google Play: request via Play Store order history / Google support.

Except where required by law, payments and partial periods are non-refundable, and unused time is not credited.

5EU/UK consumers — right of withdrawal

If you are an EU/UK consumer, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase. However, by starting to use digital content/subscription features immediately, you may be asked to agree to begin at once and acknowledge that you lose the withdrawal right once performance begins, to the extent allowed by law. Your mandatory statutory rights are not affected.

6Free trials & promotions

If a free trial or promo is offered, the terms (length, conversion price, and when billing begins) are shown at sign-up. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
