When you use Nihongo, we collect the categories of personal information below for the purposes shown. We do not sell or share your personal information.

1What we collect

• Identifiers — email, account/sign-in IDs.
• Customer records — your learning data, decks, progress, settings.
• Content you provide — sentences, notes, photos (Scan & Read), microphone audio (Speaking).
• Internet/usage activity — app interactions, diagnostics, crash logs.
• Commercial info — subscription status (no full card number).
• Approximate location — coarse region from your device/IP.

2Why

To provide, sync, personalize, and improve the Service; generate AI content you request; keep it safe; and meet legal obligations. Full purposes are in the Privacy Policy §3.

3Sale / sharing & sensitive info

We do not sell and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics. We honor Global Privacy Control.

4Retention

We keep data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then delete or de-identify it (see Privacy Policy §8).
